Coder, he said sign that profile into a server and it would be the host. They can also be the host after they die, they just can't do anything (not like that profile would be anyways).

At least someone got it i was afraid i would have to state it more clearly lol

all a server is, is a computer broadcasting its ip address as long as you have access to your internets domain routing you can essentially make your own server with python

lets take clash of clans and ultrapowa for instance

clash of clans runs 1 dedicated server(using the above method) and ultrapowa created a batch program (compiled through python) that lets people host thier own dedicated servers

thier point was so people could "hack" thier own private clash of clans server(bc some people have lives and just like to see numbers go up)

its a very cheap and effective solution ive used ultrapowa before its a very nice setup

also they were able to use a cmd prompt approach to handle ALL server-like task so the clients NEVER had to do anything and it was all secure only the person with the laptop running the server could "hack" the game

so its a nice route to take if you need help im always available for hire  Tongue

Ya. A normal computer cannon be kept up all along. Besides, there are chances of the profile to crash. Anx if it does, the server will lose its uptime.

And we also needed a dedicated computer. And the dedicated server idea is same as it.  But it will not crash, power off or anything for a very high $$$.

If you didnt understand yet, search the term "VPS" in google.

Coder, he means someone makes a profile, logs in and leaves it there to be the host. Doesn't matter if it lives or dies, it will still be the host even if it crashes, it needs to logout to stop. In this regard, it would act as a "server".

okay but the uptime issue?

Umm, it would act the same as if players stayed on for a long time. There wouldn't be any new issue with up time.
